The BGS has been designed to gather information on baccalaureate graduates' education satisfaction levels, education financing and student debt as well as further education and employment outcomes. The project has adopted a model of interviewing graduates both two and five years after graduation:
to meet the demand for university accountability at the system level in British Columbia;
to gather timely and relevant data for use in program evaluation and planning processes; and
to ensure that new, continuing, and prospective students are provided with information they can use to help them make informed decisions about their personal and economic futures.
The above goals are met through timely data collection, data management, and outcomes reporting.
